A thermometer has one function: measure your body temperature correctly.A smart thermometer has two extra features: it syncs with a service or device and is preferably multi-user.

The Nokia Smart Thermometer I bought this week manages to do ZERO of these things correctly.

Measure your temperature three times in a row and it varies by as much as 0.5 degrees between each measurement. (Celcius). That’s the difference between cool, regular and fever.

Syncing-wise it kinda does its job. It syncs with an iPhone and the iOS Health app. It even allows to configure multiple users. But saving each users’ data on each users’ own iPhone? Forget it. All data gets synced to one device. Completely defeating the purpose.

Don’t buy it.
