Create a Mac OX El Capitan Installer Disk
Beta season is here again. Which means I’ve got until september to test Mac OS X El Capitan and make sure it works with all the software we use at the office, and tweak our systems where necessary. Since this involves a lot of clean installing of test devices, I like to have an USB install drive available. Here’s a tweaked version of the command you need to create an OS X 10.11 installer on a spare USB drive called Untitled, it assumes the installer is located in the Applications folder.
sudo /Applications/Install OS X 10.11 Developer Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia –volume /Volumes/Untitled –applicationpath /Applications/Install OS X 10.11 Developer Beta.app –nointeractionNote: the – are to dashes
