Beta season is here again. Which means I’ve got until september to test Mac OS X El Capitan and make sure it works with all the software we use at the office, and tweak our systems where necessary. Since this involves a lot of clean installing of test devices, I like to have an USB install drive available. Here’s a tweaked version of the command you need to create an OS X 10.11 installer on a spare USB drive called Untitled, it assumes the installer is located in the Applications folder.

sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ 10.11\ Developer\ --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ 10.11\ Developer\ --nointeraction
